Kristen Alyce Bio

Artist, photographer, & designer Kristen Alyce set sights on South Florida from her hometown of Butler, New Jersey in 2005. Since then, she has exploded on the style scene, having the opportunity to work under New York Couture Fashion Week producer, Andres Aquino. Following in Aquino’s footsteps, Alyce has produced similar eclectic art events in South Florida, New York, and New Jersey. Such benefits include: the World Vision Benefit (2005), Lord & Taylor Fashion Show (2007), Food & Fun Fashion Show (featured in Portada Magazine 2008), Make a Wish Benefit (2008), and Garbage Gone Glam (2009).

Recently, Alyce has embarked on a line of clothing entirely composed of recycled materials. This line is one of the featured new looks at the Garbage Gone Glam event, held on October 3rd 2009. Proceeds from the show were donated to Resource Depot, a charity that creates and distributes recycled products to educators, parents, children, and others in need within the community.

While Aquinos work has served as a major influence on her career, Alyce is primarily motivated by the outreach her shows produce. She always aspires for her benefits to do just that – benefit. She wants the power of style and art to go beyond enhancing the fashion world. With events that give to the community, by endorsing the Green Movement or helping children in need, Alyce believes fashion can serve its true purpose- to make the world a better place, both inside and out.
